Staff Gardens

NHS Grampian Charity, supported by donations from NHS Charities Together, has funded improvements to a range of rest areas for staff.  The Foresterhill Staff Garden is nearing completion as is work at the Emergency Department to provide Reflection Room and outdoors space. Endowment funding has also provided more comfortable rest areas for staff using the Gardeners’ Bothy and at ARI, the Board Room is being converted into a space for staff and the Orange Dining Room is being improved so that it is available to staff 24/7 rather than only during mealtimes.  Outdoor furniture has been provide at clinics and health centres at Bridge of Don, Foresterhill, Kemnay, Forres and Banchory and at community hospitals in Inverurie and Stonehaven.  Staff at the Children’s Hospital have benefitted from recliner chairs in their rest area and new outdoor furniture, an office has been converted to a staff room at the Neonatal Unit and a staff sanctuary made available at Woodend Hospital.  At Dr Gray’s Hospital, the Bunker has been improved for staff use with new furniture and the Catering staff at Royal Cornhill Hospital also now have an outdoor area to relax.
